Some of them love light. Try moving it up as high as you can and see how it responds.

I don't think it's my lighting I have a 25000 k led fluval light it's really big on my ten gallon... ? I haven't been able to find much on my lighting

It's also looks quite similar to two different ones on there so I'm still not sure

The piece is going to have to grow more to ID, looks to be fragged from an encrusting but that is only a guess.

Were u able to see the pic right above

In the long run I do not think your lighting is going to be able to sustain stony corals, the reason you can not find a lot of reviews on the light is because typically they are not recommended for a stony coral dominated tanks, I see this a lot with this lighting type, people buy the fixture and think that clams and stony corals will thrive and they don't. Try to stick to soft corals like Sinularia, you could try some Xenia or Anthellia.

I have another pic of it farther away if you'd like to see it ? Thanks I definately want so Xenia but I already got this one and my LFS will not take anything back they are pretty rude about everything i kno I picked a pretty impossible coral after I bought it. All they told me was feed it phytoplankton and keep it under the light. Well I kno they also use led on their tanks and their gorgeous... With this type should I have him in my substrate or my rock his foundation is flat and most I've seen are pretty rounded?

Will my corals adapt?

I would just keep it where it is for now. Check your water chemistry, just make sure your not still seeing some ammonia or nitrites.

LED's come in a vast array of types, Fluval is not know for their quailty of LED's, especially at that price.

Keep doing your research here so the guys at the fish store know you are not to be had, some will really try to take advantage of you and sell you items you do not need or items that are sub par. If the guys at the local fish store are snots find a different store or go in informed.

Do the water chemistry, let the coral accliamate for a few days, it may open up more. Sometimes they need more flow but not strong flow.

Hang in there, it's a learning curve as with most hobbies.

Thank you so much!

You're welcome. :thumb:

This photo looks like it's adapting to its spot just fine. Did you check out the article? The author has come out with a food for them (through Two Little Fishies, I think) called Goniopower. You should try it. :)

Yea I read it but it looked like a few different one with completely different requirments but I'm gonna try them and see what it likes best and that's good to know thanks

Well, they're not "completely" different. Some like different flow and different light, but the main thing seems to be feeding very frequently with extremely small foods. Hoping for the best - keep us updated! Like I said, yours appears to be settling in just fine. :)

Thanks :) I fed it some zooplankton yesterday and it looks pretty happy today another thing I've been worried about is my clown he hasn't tried to host it but he swims around it a lot and yesterday I moved some stuff around but when my hand went but the goniopora he got really aggressive... I hope he doesn't bug it...the tenacles haven't fully extended like I seen in the store. But it's definately coming around :)

Hard to know what he's gonna do....
Sounds like you're off to a good start :)
As far as corals adapting to your light, SPS are unlikely to do so, and LPS might but they will probably turn brown. Softies are probably OK, and your goni - as I mentioned - is really more dependent on food than intense lighting.
