Encrusting hitchhiker coral(?) ID

I posted this in the hitchhiker section and we determined that this is probably a coral but weren't too sure of what type. I'd post it in a coral section but i'm not sure whether it's soft or LPS or not even coral. It's encrusting with a sort of brown/yellow/purple mat, the polyps don't seem to match up with green star polyps though - they extend too far out. Any help much appreciated!

We thought it could be Stylocoeniella, which seems to come in many colour variations:
