Hi guys,

for the last day and a half, my scooter blenny has remained head first in the rock - to be honest he hasn’t looked like good and has been very static. I have tried to coax him out, without success.

I thought the reef grim reaper had taken him but his tail flicked when I touched it with some tweezers.

many suggestions?

Have you or can you try moving the upper rock? I find it hard to believe but maybe it’s wedged itself between the two? Just a thought

If he is not trapped, then get him out and into a quarantine tank if you can. This will allow you to observe and possibly medicate if needed.

Well if he's not trapped, he certainly isn't healthy and is certainly hungry. I'd intervene.

I’ve squirted some copepods where he is and nothing, didn’t flinch. Touched his tail and he swam deeper into the rock structure.

He was out in the morning but he wasn’t swimming. Got the QT ready but he didn’t make it long enough for me to get him in
