Hi guys,
Been seeing these little cute 4 inch guys on the reef this year. Just wondering if anyone ever had these in their tank before and what kind of care thse need? picture credit goes to Keoki and Yuko stender of marinelife photography.

yeah. they're only in HI. I've seen them a long time (10+years) ago and alot ended up washing up on the beaches dead. I'm trying to see if they are reef safe, easy or possible to keep as they're GORGEOUS in the water and have a great personality. It describes their diet consists of algae and small inverts. I wanna try keep 2. BUT don't want to wait another 10 years to see them around.

Beautiful. One never knows unless one tries;) Wonder why they only show up once every 10 years

idk. but when they did show up there was alot of them. but alot ended up washing up dead too. hmm.....

That fish is amazing, I know matted filefish can be used to get rid of aptasia.

That's what i was thinking B, i guess i would need to just catch a couple and try them out. keep u guys posted, the little guys are actually quite quick!

There isn't much info on it online other then that they do very good in, voracious eaters and can possibility pick at corals. I am guessing you can try to "condition" them to eat frozen foods in a QT tank over time. They will need several, three minimum, feedings throughout the day.

I would like to read others experience with this fish and I would also like to have this fish and dedicating the time to train it.
