On Monday we had a Nine Hour Power failure due to a Snow Storm. Watched my Main Tank Temperature drop, with my Quarantine Tank Temperature dropping quicker. After Dinner I was going to take the Portable Stove down to the tank, heat bottles of water to float in the main tank. Move the Two Spot Bristle Tooth Tang over. We had power restored just at the end of dinner, saving the day. We are getting another storm tomorrow. I’ve had the Tang now for three weeks. Treated with Copper Power for 19 days. The Tang came from a PetCo store. I haven’t seen any signs of disease or Scratching. So what do you think about moving it?

Have you treated with praziquantel for flukes yet? That would be my main concern at this point. Another consideration - temperature changes can cause stress that brings out latent diseases, moving a fish right after an event like that is risky then. I can't say what the risk is compared to that of the second storm though....

If the fish has been in therapeutic levels of Copper Power for 19 days, there is almost no risk for ich or velvet.

I like to do 1, preferably 2, Prazi treatments before transferring to the display. I also like to make sure the new fish eats really well (frozen, flakes) and is 'fattened up' in QT.
