Engineer goby got an shrimp

Just a quick question, I have a friend that has a pistol shrimp and engineer goby that are paired. It's this comment, I want to get a pistol shrimp for mine

Yes, they naturally pair up in the wild and can do so in a tank. Its pretty common to have a pair.

My friend had an engineer pair up with a pistol but eat his other smaller shrimp so I would make sure the pistol is not too small.

It's a nice sized about an 1 and 1/4 inches

Last night my large 10-12 inches, fat as your thumb engineer goby ate my new 1 1/2 inch pistol shrimp that had bonded with a very small byt very cowardly watchman goby who would abandon his blind buddy with even the smallest bit of potential disturbance . The e-goby also eats snails and hermits. He is huge and stays hidden except when I turn the lights out. I target feed him as best I can but it doesn’t seem to reduce his appetite for predation.
