Engineer goby.

I am thinking about getting an engineer goby.
Currently i have a fire fish and 2 clowns cleaner shrimp and CUC.
My other stocking ideas are pretty open but i am thinking about a green mandarin, and also a orchid dottyback, midas blenny.
I have heard they can be mean and heard they are very peaceful? which one is it? and do you think it would be a good match for my tank.

IME they are very peaceful, but once matured a pr will get rid of the other engineer gobies.

They do dig like crazy, make sure your rocks are stable on the bottom glass. They also hide a lot and are greedy eaters.

There is a pr that is about a year and a half old in a 90g I take care of. Five were added simultaneously as juveniles, as they grew the dominant pr slowly but surely eliminated the others.

Do they bug any of your other fish or inverts? I have heard them being very violent randomly

I've had mine in a 46g for 6 weeks and he is growing fast as hell. He's 6" long now and it looks like his horizontal stripe might be starting to break and go vertical. He is super peaceful and doesn't mess with anything but my sand bed around the biggest and tallest rock (go figure). He only comes out during feeding time and rarely swims around freely. I have 2 clowns, firefish, blenny, and a cardinal in there. He does hide when the mocha clown comes by, but is getting more comfortable. Neat fish!

I am thinking about getting one like i said, but research led me to a few exceptions or i am starting to believe they are exceptions that have killed other peoples fish.
