Enjoying my tank

And by the way, I figured out to beat my bacteria problem.. I did 5gal water changes every 2 days sucking out all the slimey stuff and added a bag of chemi-pure elite and another big bag of carbon, slowed down the feeding of my fish!! Week later NO MORE SLIMEY WHITE STUFF!! Hooray!!

My wife jus complained to me the other day that I don't spend time with her Caz I'm always sittin in front of my 12wk old setup.. Lol Imagine she it's really stocked up, she might hate me!! **** nice tank by the way, I miss my bowfront!!

How is that Coralife skimmer working out for you?

I love it, I'm sure theirs better ones, but for what they cost I'm very happy with it.. It jus saved me from the bacteria problem I was having.. I let it wet skim and got all that nasty stuff out.. By the way, it's my 2nd time buying this same one, I sold the 1st one with the previous tank!! gets my vote!!

I was running one on my 54g tank but I wasn't getting the skim that everyone else was getting so I got a Reef Octopus 110SSS and man the RO pulled more junk in one week then my Coralife did for a couple of months. Also I find my water to be clear. Now with that said I never had an issue with the Coralife

Ohhhh ok kool, if u don't mind, what u pay for that?? And minus well ask while we on the subject, do u skim 24/7?? Or on a schedule??

Skim 24/7. I paid around $230. The only time I turn my skimmer off is water change (every other week) and when I clean it weekly.

Ok nice!! I'll jus keep skimming 24/7... And I guess I'll be lookin into that RO skimmer since u already had mine and like that one better..

A trick, to help break it in, that a friend told me. Soak the skimmer in a vinager bath. 1 part vinager 10 parts water. After you soak it for about an hour you empty it and hook it up. Don't touch the inside after the soak.

I spend probably 3 hours a day all spread out of course staring into my tank

Problem is I spend 3hrs straight and my wife is not liking that at all.. Lol I tell her I'll be at the beach if she needs me! ****
Haha, I do that time to time, for instance, my tank is right beside my head on my night stand, so it's very easy to lay in bed and loose myself in the tank. I've even considered trying to figure a way out to shrink myself and go diving into it and see things close up. But I think that could be a bit dangerous, oh sorry, daydreaming again:D

My wife keeps thinking I am going to jump into my tank

Qwik question, I jus flashed a light in the tank with it on nite mode and saw the emerald crab posted up by some Zoa's.. Could he be my culprit for the missing ones??
I don't think they eat the zoas but I have personally witnessed one in my brother in laws tank popping zoas of to get to algae
