Quick question. I have 2 established plates of Marine Pure in 2 filters on the 13g. One is in a FLUVAL 30 and the other a Aqueon 10. If I transfer all ornaments and the two HOBs over to the 20g that has new substrate and new water. Will there be an issue with a mini cycle or even a full on cycle?

There might be a mini cycle ..or diatoms if there is silicate present in your new substrate..

Yes from a 13g to a 20g. Same type of substrate, but a new bag of 20lbs African Cichlid aragonite. About 3 ornaments will be transferred. Only 1 fish to be transferred over.

It's a brackish tank for a Figure 8 Puffer. Not worried about diatoms.

I doubt you'll have a cycle. With a small fish and established media. I would just throw an alert badge to be on the safe side.

I have an API test kit for ammonia. Those are pretty decent for detection. I will do it every 3 days 5 days.
