Well i made the mistake of not quarantining everything i put into the tank and ended up with ich. I only lost my flasher wrasse who was really the only one showing symptoms. I still have 2 clowns, coral beauty and a watchman goby. They are now in quarantine which i will be dosing with cupramine soon. Well with nothing in the tank i just started thinking if there are any low light corals that i could even have a chance at keeping alive at some point. Would like some honest feedback. I have 2 lights. They are large 48inch LEDs i got off of amazon. They have 120 led in each lamp, 0.5 watts each bulb. so my main question here is... are there any corals that i can run and keep colorful with these 2 lights? or do i need to buy like a black box or a hbreef lamp. please let me know what you think. obviously i would like to do it with mine but if its not an option then i know ill be needing a new one for this purpose.

Any pictures of the light you currently have? With the lights on and off

Can you post a link or picture of the light, so we can understand what unit it is? This will help us greatly to give you the advice your looking for.

Edit: you beat me to it.

These lights will keep soft coral alive, but not much else very well. Maybe some LPS.

Agreed, soft corals and low light Lps should do good under it :)

alright thanks guys. any recommendations on maybe what to start with?
You could start with some easy soft corals such as Kenya trees, toadstools, zoas, xenia, green star polyps, mushrooms. Just make sure they're on their own little island or they'll take over a tank quickly.

alright so one more question.. since i have my other fish quarantining for about 6 weeks. would this be an ok time to actually add a few corals? im planning on keeping it fallow for about 6-7 weeks.
