I need opinions about my aquascape. Im not happy with it because it doesnt have enough places to put coral and have the option of high or low light or high/low water movement. I dont know if i should build the wall up higher and closer to the back glass or rearrange what i have. The tank is a 125g 72" long and theres about 150lbs ish of rock in the tank now. here are some pics.

I would build the rock up against the overflows, and leave the middle lower.

awsome idea i like that. also any tips for stacking rocks so you get the most coral placement options?

I second this. I like the patch reef look. When stacking rock I like to try and leave little benches to set corals on. If you aren't planning on rearranging things again you could also glue them in place.

You could create an island or two and break up the uniformity you have going right now. Make some a little higher than others. Symetrical isn't always a good thing when you're trying to create a natural look.

Yea thats one of the other things im not really happy with in the tank. LOL i didnt even realize that I had did it that way intill my wife said " good job on getting everything even" refering to the symetrical shape of the island. Its almost a mirrored image right down the middle.

I always like to go to the pic galleries and look at the aquascaping of other tanks. You can get great ideas.

I think sometimes we just get our creativeness in a rut so to speak especially if you are new to reefing or like me have done it so long you tend to run out of ideas. We have some amazing tanks here on R2R by our members.
