I’ve been eyeballing LED lights for my tank for years. I was dead set on buying them for the tank I’m currently setting up, but all I seem to read is people having problems or some kind or another.

It’s probably a step backwards to many, but I’m going to go with a T5/MH combo. It’s foolproof and works without too much fidgeting

I use to love my metal halides, but I hated the heat and I the electric bill. A lot of issues I think people have with LEDs is because they keep changing the spectrum as it is too easy to do.

If you want lots of even light, no shading, and amazing shimmer then you will not be disappointed with halide t5. If you can afford to put a reef brite blue strip in for late nights.. wow!

It is Gen 2 for sure and it is supposed to launch on April/May that is all i know from Coralvue.

I can not find anything on Gen 3 launch anywhere..
Isn't Gen 2 pretty new?
I am sure Gen 3 would launch there first though.

Edit: Just found out Gen 2 launches in EU in March so it is not even out there yet.
So we are getting it a month or two later which is not bad.

This is a true gen 2 hardware launch; new smaller housing, revised optics, new diffuser panel. The confusion lies in that Coralcare sold a revised version in the same industrial housing in 2018 that some were calling gen2.
