Does anyone know what kind of lighting they use in the cylindrical reef tanks in The Seas exhibit? Specifically the larger one to the mid right of the room as you walk in that has lots of LPS and some nice looking pearlescent SPS. I like the color a lot and asked a couple of cast members about it, but they just shrugged their shoulders and didn’t offer to help find an answer.

Ask reef builders they have done job postings/blogs for Disney and I'm sure have a general idea what they use.

They used to use halides on the one with sps. The one with the giant frogspawn as I recall was a kessil LED. This was a few years ago. One of the cast mates opened it for me to see. The pre covid staff were a lot more knowledgeable and friendlier than the current staff. We had annual passes for years but gave them up due to the decline in how they treated their guests during the pandemic.

Also look for the older hippie looking cast members if you want actual answers about anything animal related.
