I used almost this whole stick two days ago and my skimmer will not stop overflowing? I’m using extra carbon in my sump. Fish and coral seem fine. Any suggestions?

I was using it to keep these in place on a piece of eggcrate.

Are use that to fill the gaps and keep those in place

very common with this kind of epoxy, were you using it on live rock?
I threw some extra carbon in my sump, any idea how long it will keep messing with my skimmer? Should I do a water change? Thanks for your help

Gotcha, gel super glue may work for that application in the future (maybe) but unfortunately you just have to weather the skimming. Most posts I've read after using epoxy say it stops after a few hours to a couple days.

All my livestock seems OK, I’ve raised the skimmer so it’s not so bad now. My main concern being all of my corals and livestock.

Yep I use the same epoxy along with super glue gel and it drives my protein skimmer crazy but not for long. No worries everything will be ok

Here is my trick for berserk skimmers. Mix up salt water. Turn on skimmer. Let it fill the cup. Turn off skimmer. Empty cup. Use your saltwater to replace saltwater Lost by skimming. Turn on skimmer and repeat. After about 10 - 20 iterations, the skimmer should settle down. Whatever the chemical is in the epoxy is being removed by skimming. By repeatedly tossing out the skim-mate and replacing the lost water, you are removing the offending chemical. As a bonus, you are doing a minor water change.

Pretty common but instead of waiting do this. Much faster
I was doing that, I’ve emptied about 5 cups. Good idea, I’m going to make some water and continue to do that, thank you. Good video!
