What epoxy can I pick up that would be reefsafe for rock under water (cant take one of the rocks out). Would the locktite stuff work?

Epoxy putty, it's usually in a tube and it comes in different colors. White , gray, green, pink. You can pick it up from most large hardware stores ( I get mine from Lowe's), or at your LFS for slightly more money.

I've found that epoxy works better when you mix some reef safe glue with it, might want to try that.

Do u handle the glue with your hands? Just not sure I want super sticky hands. Whoch brand epoxy do u get from hardware store?

Just wanted to be sure you got the right Loctite product, so here is the one I use: Loctite Repair Putty Multi-Purpose from Loctite Adhesives . This dries to a white color like the coral rock, which will eventually get covered with algae. If you want green, grey, or coralline pink color, then you pay more money by getting something similar from an on-line reef store. They will all turn the color of algae in time, however.

The bond this forms is week, but it does harden hard as rock. So, the way I use it is to mold it between the rocks and into the crevices. The shape of the hardened putty will then hold the rocks together.

If you want to mount frag disks, then it's not so good by itself. Best way is to knead the putty into a ball, put crazy glue on the face of the disk and stick the putty on it. Then, put crazy glue on the exposed part of the putty and plant the whole thing unto the rock.

Thanks a ton!!!!! The link u made though just takes me to their products. What is the name of the type you use, or another link please.
Thanks again!

I use a product called JB Water Weld. It is super cheap and works fine under water. Sometimes for better adhesion I put some super glue on both sides of the epoxy, but it isn't always needed.

Must be a glitch, because it goes to the putty when I click it. Anyhow, it's called "Loctite® Repair Putty Multi-Purpose".
