would basment sealer waterproofing paint work for a plywood tank application it is 100% styrene acrylic thanks

ive seen a thread about a 2,000 gallon shark tank made out of plywood and covered with epoxy, not sure what he used tho.

do not think basement sealer would work. it will probably break down over time with salt water. epoxy and some sort of fiberglass application? might want to look into that more.

thanks, but need more solid accounts,i will probably go to west marine and get some 2 part fiberglass

i went to my local sherwin williams and told them the application and they hooked me up with a 2-part marine epoxy. The rep told me it would be best because it allows for some expansion/contraction and still not crack. My tank has been up and running over 2 years now, no problems. cost $90 for 2 gallons.

Thank ive used it on the floor of my boat,i will return the other stuff and pick some up
