Epoxy/Putty Question

Is there any epoxy/reef putty out there that won't cause a skimmer to go crazy? I know BRS suggested Coral Gum, but I was curious if there were any other options.

I use the Instant Ocean brand. Never had a skimmer foam because of it.

I did kill a fish with the tunze coral gum.

I like using the thermoplastics that you heat in hot water to make soft (e.g. search Amazon for "thermoplastic beads"). Chemically inert and doesn't mess with your skimmer, and I find it easier to work with than epoxy putty.
