I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but since I am a relative beginner I figured, what the heck. I have no lfs within 3 hours of me so I have to rely on other sources for some items. I bought an epoxy for coral placement from a local hardware store and would like to know if anybody has any experience with this particular product or could offer a yay or nay as to it's use in my aquarium. The label says that it is "Safe for potable drinking water lines" and is for underwater use as well. I checked online for any MSDS (nothing) or similar info and the label is minimal at best.

Here's a pic of the label. There's nothing on the back at all.

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

It’s most likely ok but personally I wouldn’t risk it.. just order epoxy made for reef tank use through the mail if you don’t have a LFS.

Weld on is a good brand for glues that everyone uses to build tanks and sumps. I have seen here others that use JB weld and would trust weld on before JB. I just started using Tunze coral gum epoxy and really like it.

Should be just fine. I've used both Rectorseal and Oatey Fix-it Stick that I've purchased from HD or Lowes.

I wondered the same thing as I still need to create one more small rock scape in my tank and I'm out of two-part epoxy from the fish store (35 minutes away). I wondered if I could just run to Lowes four blocks away. Thanks for posting this. This helps answer my question too. :-)
