No.

It should be easy to find standard Epsom salt:

What are you using it for? Just curious because I always though Epsom salt was a freshwater thing.

Not sure what the OP use is, but it is a part of a DIY magnesium supplement and a diy two part recipe:

Do-It-Yourself Magnesium Supplements for the Reef Aquarium by Randy Holmes-Farley - Reefkeeping.com

An Improved Do-it-Yourself Two-Part Calcium and Alkalinity Supplement System by Randy Holmes-Farley - Reefkeeping.com

from the first one:

Using both Epsom salts and MAG flake, dissolve 7¼ cups MAG flake and ¾ cup Epsom salts in one gallon of water, and use that to supplement magnesium in amounts determined using this linked online calculator, with the entry "Randy's Recipes 1 and 2 Versions A and B," and ignore for this purpose what those designations mean. This recipe is preferred, but its advantage over recipe #2 is minimal in most cases.

Yep for mag. Been dropping away last few weeks at 900 now. So was going to use Epsom salts too raise mag slowly

Its Mag + Menthol.

I would follow the directions and stop using it if the fish or corals start developing a rash.:face-with-hand-over-mouth:

Otherwise, take it back to the store and get the non-menthol stuff.

Edit: I almost grabbed one of these off the shelf by accident once. It should be illegal to adulturate salts that we use for our reefs! :face-with-hand-over-mouth: :face-with-hand-over-mouth:

Hard for just pure Epsom but bought it because I seen pure Epsom and not the smelly stuff so thought I would check . Thought it was a no go with the smell of it . Thanks guys and girls

Kris I'm starting to appreciate your humor and wouldn't share this otherwise ;) Your comment reminds me of when I used to travel on motorcycle. Some days we would spend over 15hrs in the saddle. I used to cover my butt and other areas in gold bond powder to prevent chaffing. I had a buddy use the medicated gold bond in the green container once. He almost made it to his bike before he ran back inside and stripped down and jumped on the shower. I laughed so hard I cried.

Just be sure that is not test error. It sounds low enough to me to invoke RMM protocols:

Thank you. Your story ^THIS^ is why I am here. It's cool to learn about coral keeping from the experts but friendly discussion and personal stories, triumphs and failures are what makes life interesting.

What you wrote reminds me; I heard a story about 2 cousins who went camping, and the one couldn't understand why the other would never forgive him for handing him poison oak leaves for substitute Charmin when they went camping as kids?

Happy New Year everyone!

Same thing happens with Bleach, folks grab "splashless" and then have to worry about removing that extra chemical from the "pure" bleach, or scented bleach.

It should be illegal to put these kinds of additives in the stuff we need pure! :smiling-face-with-sunglasses:
