Equipment cleaning and use

Whats best to clean fish contact items? Such as my 5 gal bucket for rodi water,tubing lines, items bought used. Also are brassconectors ok to use on water or air for aquarium equip? It doesn't seem like it would be ok for water but i came into a bunch of fittings.Thank you for any info.

You could use white vinegar to clean buckets, tubing, pumps, tanks (empty), etc. As for brass..... I'd steer clear. That way if anything happens down the road, that immediately isn't in the equation of contributing factors.
