Equipment ID please

Hi all I'm new to the hobby and I got this thing with a load of stuff when I bought my aquarium.
I dont know what it is. You press the button on top and it does something. Its battery operated. Any ideas please?

Oh right could come in handy.
So the bit at bottom must draw stuff in but what's the cup on the side for? Theres nowhere for it to collect 'stuff'

Looks like a mini bag thing on the side I'm missing. Hmmmm a popular auction site could be the answer

Nice. Looks handy. I think I should be able to improvise something onto there for sure.
Should help keep the tank looking cleaning.
