Equipment reliability

I've had to replace the wet side 2x. I got a new power supply and will try it and my smaller one mp10(?) on my 90 build that i'm working on this weekend.
How long did you have it before the wet side went bad?

My jebao went bad after a few months of use. The dc pump went bad after 2 months. Was useless because I had it for over a yr and warranty expired.

i believe they both went inside of 6 months. this was 2018/19 but i did get one under warranty. the 2nd replacement i had to buy. I also had a vortec pump, still do, that's flaky i wish it worked but my sicce and current are way better.

The jebao, sine type, has been running since 2020 in continuous operation outside of water changes

The best piece of equipment I have ever bought was a 36”x0.25” wooden dowel from home depot that I use to move my Conch off of coral. Best $3 ever spent. I call it the “No stick”

In reality, my Kessil A160 has been running for YEARS before I bought it a year and a half ago. All diodes still operating. The controller is also simple and never skips a beat.

The worst has been by far the Hygger timer lights. They absolutely suck. Their interface has these buttons that could literally get pressed by a feather. The timer part is hard to set up. Also the different modes make no sense and do not work properly.

Also, the RO buddie from amazon. That thing takes eons to make 5 gallons of water and I instantly switched to a BRS 4 stage.

Another worst piece of equipment is any of those ATOs that have that crappy green sensor. I am certain that they’re all the same but rebranded. This thing would not work right out of the box.

Some of this may be user error but honestly, there are so many products that are easy to setup or simply plug and play. I want my tank to be enjoyable. Not something I have to put my whole arm inside of everyday or mess around with control’s constantly.
