I like it without them. At least that way you will keep the sump clean, seeing as how you have to see it all the time. Maybe Ray can give you some cleaning tips.

Made some progress on the new sump today. Still gotta cut the teeth in the last baffle. And that's the new to me ASM G4 skimmer that I'll be using with a Sedra 5000 pump.
