Hey R2R. This is my first build thread. My 60g is my first saltwater tank i have owned. I picked it up on craigslist back in the begenning of 2011. After reading about reef tanks and watching some youtube videos I decided to take the jump from planted fresh to salt. Wish I would have done it 10 years earlier!!!!! Here is a rundown of what the system has been and where it's going.Picked up off craigslist. tank was in good condition (not a scratch on it at all) It came with a 1 bulb T-5 that wouldn't light a shoe box lol. wet/dry trickle filter, a cheap skimmer that is very very low quality. never pulled anything!!! It came with a blue tang, yellow tang, 3 clown fish, and about 7 chromis. The minute I showed up to pick it up I called my LFS and told them I would be donating some fish to them today lol. I brought the tank home, cleaned it, so much algae and nasty crap was removed, and set it up as best as I knew how to back then. Made most of the rookie mistakes, but def learned alot along the way. Now I was offically hooked. Since then I have added some new equipment, live stock, etc. I upgraded the skimmer to a bubble magus nac 3.5, 265w pc lights, gfo and carbon reactor, jebao wp 25 on w-1, and a 1050 koralia hooked up to a smartwave. I have been in the process of planning upgrading this tank for the past two months. I will have pics up By tomorrow morning. Thanks again to all the members on here who share info and knowledge generously.

I also have a 12g jbj with a "s" stand, 70w ushio 14k. I will be doing a build thread for that also pretty soon.
