Erin O's 75G Build

You're not going to get rid of me that easily! You guys are what helps keep me sane! I'll be living the reefing life vicariously through all of you ;)

This statement concerns me for a couple of reasons, one, I don't think any of us are actually sane so I'm not sure how WE are what helps keep you sane.

And two, half of us have dry tanks right now so your vicarious life will be a little bland for some time :p

We are helping or more like a huge shove into a 29g sw tank. Aka enabling. Katrina71 is the ring leader

Ooooo what's needed here, new tank? Sump? Every thing??? Totally in on this one!

Erin wanted a 75 but hubby put a kabash on that. She has a 29 empty being converted to a sw. She has a canister filter a heater. Everything else is needed

Thank you, everyone! Just...thank you. You are all so wonderful! I wish there was more I could say, but I can't find the words
The best thank you would be an awesome tank that makes everyone in your family happy! Besides, we live for enabling.

What was the issue with the 75? Cost of the aquarium overall? If you don't mind me asking, just wrapping my head around what's going on.

I've been waiting for months to get stands built for my FW 125g and my 75g, which I had planned on switching to SW

Ok, I looked on petco and it looks like I can buy online, I need to unlock my paypal so that is job one for today lol, how many lbs of sand for a 29?
There were about 20 in the marine section, someone needs to tell me which one is required and how much.
Is petco convenient for you Erin or is there a more local store to you? :)

So you have the tanks but need a stand for each of them?
Sorry for the short response last night. I had to go lay down with my 2 year old. So, yes. I have the tanks. My father in law is going to be building the stands, but first he was in Texas for a couple of months and then shortly after he got home, this whole Covid thing started up, so the stands got put off again.

ok i see 29 qt 75 display ,gotcha, can't get elbows wet in 29 ;) ..do you have both tanks?

This community is really amazing. @Erin O you know I have some coral for you as soon as you think you're ready. I wouldn't so much worry about a skimmer for a 29, you'll just have to do water changes more often. That isn't really a big deal as you'll get salt mixing down to perfection. Your Sun 304b will be a great filter so you shouldn't have problems with algae and parameter swings. Once you get your 75 going I highly, highly, HIGHLY, recommend an fx6.

Wait a minute here, you didn't ask for anything from us....
Ok, poor choice of words. But regardless, I feel like the 75 would be asking too much. You all have been so wonderful to help me. I would feel like I was taking advantage of your kindness
