upgrading to the 90.

You should ask the old people first. LOL! Mine just after fill up. I didn't use live sand though. The sand was pre-rinsed for hours before hitting the tank.

How did you rinse your sand, just out of curiosity? RO?

Should I rinse the dry rock? If so, should I use tap water, tap water with Prime, or RO? @Scratch08, do I remember something about you power washing it or something?
Just a good rinse with ro water or tap with prime should be fine...it is power washed by Marco rocks before they ship, but it is still dusty.

EDIT: sorry for late response, I'm working on my stand ;)

Nope. 5 gallon bucket sitting in my driveway with a hose & pressure nozzle clamped on the side overflowing the bucket. Empty, repeat over and over. I used dry aragonite sand though. I have always rinsed my sand this way.

Thanks! I figure that I should know this stuff for if/when we get the 75 going lol

Live sand you dont want to rinse
I know, but I'm want to be able to explain what will be needed for each type of sand to Rod if/when we start the 75. You know, "Dry sand is cheaper." "Yes, but it has to be rinsed for a LONG TIME. You don't have to worry about rinsing with live sand." ;) Lol
