[h=5]HELP!!! PLEASE!!! I just purchased a Eshopps HOT skimmer 75H. The customer service is something to be desired and the instructions are drivin me nuts.... I am frustrated as you can tell.. LOL...OK, here goes.. I had it almost dialed in...Was puling some scum off the tank. I went to move it to its permanent spot at the back of the tank. and now. It wont produce a "head" I did feed the tank Mysis and Brine right before. My question is.. Did feeding upset the skimmer? I cannot find any links for FAQ on this skimmer. I am hoping someone here has had/ knows how to fix this problem for me.. This skimmer has been a living nightmare for me for the past 4 days....[/h]

Ok, first, is it in the same depth of water that you had it in when before you moved it, meaning you didnt' have to raise or lower it on the side of the tank? Next, did you clean it out first with vinegar to get the resin off the acrylic? If its brand new, and you've just put it in the tank without cleaning, your going to have to be patient with it for a couple weeks as it breaks in.

Everything is the same except where it is. I moved it from the front to back of the aquarium.. or tried to...As I said, it has been running for a few days and actually producing, well up till I moved it... When I turn it on, there is now very little output back into the tank, and the reaction bubbles do go up into the neck where they are supposed to sit... they are hovering right where the bottom blue acrylic ring is on the canister itself.. I can turn the output dial all the way off and not raise the water line....

Check the air line for debre, salt creep. That'll kill output in a heart beat. But sounds to early for that. But I'd take a look. Also, takes a new skimmer a few weeks to break in a become steady, may have been working before, but no tellin if it was going to keep it up. They don't produce all the time either.

What did you add to your water? Skimmers hate addiives.

My skimmer will do that as well, and it's a CPR HOT skimmer. Just something you have to adjust to, literally. :) Mine did get more stable after it aged a bit.

Things that can produce too much skimmate:

Heavy Feedings
Using 2 part epoxy and superglue when adding frags to the tank
Some addidtives

Things that can stop skimmate from being produced:

Putting any part of your hand in the tank
Some additives

Ok, so everything sounds normal then. Ya just gotta let it break in now.

STILL not running properly.. When I turn on and open air vent after priming.. All I get is foam overflow.. And it overflows in seconds creating a huge water mess on carpet and bottom of stand.. Am VERY stressed as paid 200 for this thing and as far as I can see.. Its JUNK.. Any help?

Am waiting on a reply from them.. Thus far, they just keep sending me pieces and parts but do not address the issue at hand

Sorry for the late reply here. I bought the 100H model. The bubble trap (foam cover) that fits over the outlet gets filled with junk and reduces waterflow, causing the skimmer to overflow. The only reliable solution is to remove it, or clean it at least once a day. I removed mine and most of the micro-bubbles faded after a few days. I'm looking into options for the outlet pipe to eliminate bubbles without the foam cover.

Thats odd that that part would make a difference.. I have noticed that i do not have goo outflow from the skimmer to the outflow... But I took skimmer back to have pet store try fiddling with it i am beyond irritated ad displeased with this company.. NO customer service whatsoever...
