I have it and [emoji173] it!

Quality product comes with the template and drill bit.

Also insure when using the template that you get the height right on the internal box for water hie h t to be above the rim.

Would you have a picture of yours? I would like to see how high you have your internal box. I was thinking about having the internal box go all the way up to the trim around the top of my tank.

Here is the link to when I dealt with that issue. The issue is its hard to get the template underneath the trim. So you need to prop the template up, ie. Put something between the glass and the template.

Yeah I've seen online where people's waterline is below the black trim and I don't like that. I was thinking they drilled the tank wrong. I'll take your advice and shim underneath to get the overflow box up higher. Thanks for your help.

So far so good. Got the tank drilled but won't be putting water into it until January.

I love this over flow box. It's very quite and looks great on the tank. I definitely recommend this box. Will post some pic later this evening.

How quiet is this thing? How do you tune it? I've always had a durso. I'm thinking about setting up a new tank and I'm intriguied by these, but scared if they make noise I won't have a way to quiet it down..

When I first installed it was a little trickle going into the overflow box on the DT tank. I put a small piece of foam in there and now it's silent. You can either adjust return pump flow or add a ball/gate valve to tune it.

If you guys go with this overflow make sure to install the overflow box all the way up to the inside trim of your tank. If you don't the water level will be below the black trim. So if you use the template that comes with it you should show shim under it about the thickness of the black trim to drill the hole. I've seen people put the template under the black trim and then drill the whole. This will put the waterline about an inch to 2 inches below the black trim of your tank.

Couldn't you just turn the template upside down? With the arrow pointing down. From pictures it looks like that will make the holes closer to the trim?
Thanks For your time!
