ESHOPPS Mariner 70 Build

put a lil hot glue or silicone on light cord where they have already, needs more, thin wire will break ...

Which power strip? That may be the way I should go for my setup.
It's just an Amazon cheapo. Kasa is a well known brand often recommended. The one I bought has 6 total outlets, 3 programmable.

Well, we were prepping to bring in the tank and I started raining. We decided we didn't want to try to carry a wet fish tank and risk dropping it.

Sound decision.

Fish trap was installed in the FW, hopefully tomorrow and Sunday I'll be tearing down the 110. Monday is a holiday so I can potentially start setting it up!
Way to go, you have one nice tank, I was going to get a Red Sea Reefer but after seeing your Eshopps Mariner, I changed my mind, do you have anymore pics of your tank up and running?

It should be up this weekend. I got the stand built and then the rain started so we didn't want to risk carrying a tank in the rain and dropping it... I've played the "dropped tank" game before and lost.

It's not a fun game.

Might need two tubes of silicone for that one.

@Mschmidt I never saw the outcome, was the TPU gumming up the nozzle?
I believe it was. it's working for the most part now, had some issues with a new roll of pla from amazon that I will likely not buy again. and the boudin tube doesn't go in all the way (probably due to the tpu), but that's only an issue when changing rolls.

Good news, bad news:

Bad news - it was supposed to be done raining on Monday, here it is Thursday and still drizzly. I really want the tank inside but not doing it in the rain. The good news is, it looks like it's clearing up! Maybe this evening.

Good news - my smart power strip came last night. I plugged it in and it doesn't use the same program that my existing smart plugs use BUT they can use the program it uses. Both tanks and all smart plugs are now installed on one app - 11 total smart outlets (plus 2 generic timer plugs).

And.... The pile of rocks soaking for the new scape once the tank is in place! It's been soaking for a few weeks now but there are several pieces of Aragocrete in there so it's been in freshwater. Alkalinity appears to have been pulled out enough so I'll add some salt and get these puppies phosphate soaking as well! Who knows, maybe I'll scrape some pink and purples from the 125 to start some coralline growth.

It's not enough for the tank so I'll be adding more later but it's more than enough to get me started! Plan is to fill the tank halfway with water (I think I already mentioned it but my wife wants to ensure no leaks on the bottom seam - Red Sea has her nervous). I'll let it sit for a week maybe with a powerhead or something running to keep the water from stagnating. At that point, I'll add salt to what's there and then start adding rocks and doing the scaping. I'll fill the tank most of the the rest of the way with water, get the sand added and settled, then top off and start up the sump. At that point I plan on some bacteria being added as well. Next, I'll make a lid for the tank - probably going Red Sea DIY screen. After that, fish and corals will slowly be transferred.

I'm looking at around a 5-6 month total tear down and transfer from the 125 over. Maybe longer, we'll see.

probably going Red Sea DIY screen.
I have an unopened 60" x 31" RS screen kit that you can have for the cost of shipping.
(Although it seems like I should create a contest for you to win... :thinking-face: )
