I have an Eshopss Eclipse S overflow with an Eshopps nano sump. Pictured below.
I know I prob should of gone with a gate valve and not ball valve for better fine tuning, etc etc. But it is what it is and I have what I have.
So my questions is - how can I make this thing quite? I have a Jebao 2000 return set to about 50% intensity. My drain valve is closed off about 35-40%. I spent about 2 hrs this weekend adjusting the the drain valve and return pump speed with no luck of silencing this setup.
Two things happen... I can get the overflow quite but then the emergency drain starts spitting out into the sump really loud. Or, I get the sump quite by lower the water level in the overflow, below the red pipe, but then the overflow becomes loud.
Something I've considered but would like to get some opinions first before I implement. Should I raise the water level in my overflow and make my emergency drain pipe longer in the sump, meaning closer to or touching the water level in the sump?
