How often should I change the circular foam filter? I've noticed the one I have is starting to restrict flow.

about every 4 days is when I change my filter socks,

I found it very noisy so I removed that filter and made a Stockman standpipe. You don't need that filter anyway because it drains into the filter sock, if you're using one. If you're interested search "PF800 Stockman standpipe" on Youtube to see how it's made.
