I wanted to know if any has modded this area so you no longer need to use the 4.5x7 felts but maybe the 4' round mesh? At first I considered just going the whole egg crate with filter pad on top, but not sure how this would compare to a filter mesh sock.

My other thought was to get a custom lexan insert that would accept a Mesh draw string bag.
