For salinity, I highly highly recommend the Hannah salinity checker. As for No3, Po4, Ca, Mg, and ALK, you could either buy salifert/red sea kits, salifert being the cheaper one but still as good, or you could buy the hannah testers for these as well. You dont have to buy all of them at once, you can go slowly. Salinity, no3, po4, and alk should be your priority now.

Refractometer for salinity. Hanna Insturments checkers for Alk, NO3, pH, and phosphate. Salifert for Mg and Ca. That’s what I use

All you need to start is a way to test salinity, ammonia, and NO3 when you are cycling. After the cycle you likely won’t need ammonia testing stuff anymore unless you have a quarantine tank.

what i use:

hannah PH
red sea alk, mag, cal, no3, po4
brs refractometer for salinity

slowly trying to switch over to individual hannah checkers. will probably use salifert mag or red sea mag after the switch

Hanna if you can afford them. Buy one at a time. I recommend the hanna hr nitrate. The phosphorus ulr. Alkalinity. Salinity temp pen. And calcium. Red sea for magnesium. Red sea has a good kit with calcium magnesium and alk. Ph i use salifert.
