The other day someone said to me "you should never buy the 8 Gallon packages of ESV-Bionic because they are older chemicals that aren't as fresh/good as the 2 Gallon Packages"

The reasoning behind this was the two gallon (1G Alk & 1G Calc) packages are purchased more frequently/have a higher turnover rate than the larger 8 gallon (2 Five Gallon Bucket) packages, meaning they are "more fresh / mix better"

I do not know anything about Chemistry however this seems like BS, especially since the bucket is aggressively mixed before top off of the dosing reservoir. Is there any truth behind his statement?

As crap as it can be... I mix five gallons at a time and last me almost a year. This isn’t food....

These chemicals are rather strongly bonded. Worst i could see is they managed to pick up some ambient moisture and caked up. But you would see that.

yes, it definitely is crap. :D

The inorganic chemicals in a two part do not go bad as they "age".

Love to hear it, will continue to order my large buckets. Thanks guys
