First time user of the 4g size ESV B-ionic.
Was wondering after initial mixing of RO water, does the solution stay mixed or does it fall out of solution since not all is used at once.
Kind of hard to see through the spout of the 5g pail vs the opaque 1g containers and I'd hate to have to shake the 5g pail every time if not needed.

TIA

Get a good flashlight and shine it on bottom sides and bottom. Alkalinity part 1 is the one that is crystallized . I always heat the R/O water in the microwave first, 32 oz at a time. This makes the crystals dissolve quicker. I shake the 5 gal buckets each time I pour into smaller 32 oz bottles. I have never seen part 1 crystallize again after initial mixing.

Thanks Rj.
I'm using a small powerhead to mix the alkalinity. I was going to also store via some saved ESV gallon jugs but it seemed effort wasting since I refill the dosing containers 1 gallon at a time, figured I'd leave it i it's original 5g pail after dilution.
But your answer to not seeing the alkalinity solution re-crystallize was the answer I was looking for.

how long did you heat your water when before mixing? It says to 266 oz so you heat multiple batches huh?

It will stay mixed once dissolved. The alk solution may reprecipitate if it gets cold, but will redissolve if warmed.

Another trick is to put the whole bucket into a laundry tub/sink full of hot water. I found this also helps speed up the breakup of the crystal frisbee in the bottom.

This is what I've always done with the smaller containers. Plug up the utility sink, hot to warm water, and set it in for a few minutes. Once done shake rattle and roll - finished product and hasn't formed up anything.

I have started using the buckets and have not noticed alkalintiy component coming out of suspension. It will happen as noted if allowed to get cold.

I thought about shaking those buckets but then decided I didn't have that much Advil in the house ;) . I used a piece of 1/2" pvc to break it up and stir.

Maxi-Jet 400 works excellent. It produces little heat and after 24 hours, the entire bucket is well dissolved.
