I normally use ESV calicum and alkalinity via a dosing pump. Today when I filled my dosing containers up, i noticed the calcium is very cloudy. I dont ever recall this to be the case in the past. Can anyone confirm this? I am using the gallon jugs of esv and I filled to the proper area with RODI water.

yes its cloudy in the dosing container. the jug isnt transparent so its hard to tell in there. but now in the dosing container, it has settled at the bottom. and the top is getting much more clear. But if I was to put the containers back on my tank to be dosed, it would draw from the bottom and would suck up whatever it is that is settling at the bottom...im guessing straight calcium??

Any undissolved solids are likely calcium carbonate or maybe calcium sulfate. I'd just ignore it, unless it amounts to a very large amount of material.

Any change you left something else in the jug, like salt water or alk solution?

Randy,
I cleaned the containers before refilling and I only put calcium in the calcium container so there was def no alk in it before.
There are little chunks floating around. in the container but it is all slowly settling down in the bottom. The container is becoming clear but the bottom has about .25" of white sediment. The container I use has a piece of rigid tubing that goes down to the bottom and it will most likely draw the solids.

I also poured some into another container (from the original jug that the bionic came from) to see if it was the bionic or my container, and it clouded the second container too.

Im concerned about putting this into my tank.

Mine isn't what I would call cloudy but it does have a very slight tint to it. I haven't had any problems.
