Ok I'm getting to the point were I might be switching to a different salt mix soon. The problem is for us that like to add more calcium and alk when our tank parameters call for it the bottles run out before the salt and magnesium runs out.
Does anyone know if after they run out can you use the Esv two part? Or do they sell them individually?

And if the answer is no what is a good alternative salt?

no the 2 part is different. I use ESV myself and I alway buy ahead, so if for some reason 1 component runs out faster than the others (like an accidental spill) then I will tap into the next boxes', but it reall shouldn't be off by that much though if you measure according to instruction

Arn't the Part A & B bottles same as their calcium buffer system?

You can dose their Calcium buffer system to bring the levels up to where they need to be and save the other for when you mix up salt.
Either way, its really no different than having to bring new salt mix levels up to where they need to be before you change the water.

Yup that has been my mistake. Now obviously I will do it the way normal people do it. 2 part to raise to good lvl and normal additives mentioned on the sheet for my salt mix.
