Uuuh. No. I haven't jumped on that fad yet. I came back from China to my own version of an algae scrubber: caulerpa EVERYWHERE. Apparently there was a teeny bit when I left that my roommate didn't know to remove (she's never had a saltwater tank so it's not her fault). Yeah, it's everywhere. It kinda sickens me a little bit.

Darn just missed this myself as well. Really interested in getting these lights. Especially for that group price. I'm not apart of etrc, but interested I'm joining.

Sounds good. I'm definitely interested. I think I will need two. I will be moving into a smaller house at the end of the year and my solana won't fit in the area I can use. I'm hoping to fit a 40b but I think I may have to go with a 55, since it is only 12" wide. I'm assuming two of these would cover a 48" long tank.

So I went ahead and bought these anyway since I just missed the group buy, and it was really worth my while. Has anyone from the initial group buy set theirs up yet? If so what are your thoughts? I was pleasantly surprised about how well made they were. Great sleek design, nice hanging kit, great spread, and plenty of penetration. I switched from two 150 watt MH 12" fixtures to these and wow did my colors get a lot better within just a couple weeks. I wish I had a nice DSLR to take proper pictures, but unfortunately I only have my galaxy s4 camera to take pictures with, haha. If anyone is interested I can make a thread and post some pictures. I might do so anyways just to show my tank since I am new.

Camera should take decent pics. I find using the white balance setting at cloudy helps take decent pics under leds

Haha, alright I'll try a few settings and get a post going tomorrow. Seems like every time I use my phone, it likes to turn everything really purple.

Here's a pic of mine. Been over the tank for a week and a half if I remember right. Sps haven't lost any color and extend polyps very well. As far as I can see everything is happy, but still acclimating to the light. Started off at whites 10 percent and blues around 50. Reading above 100 par at substrate and just over 200 at sps.
