ETRC Photo contest (Member tanks only)

Ok ETRC members, I've come up with an idea to get some shutters clicking.

There will be three categories:

1. Best FTS (Full Tank Shot)
Chosen by random drawing.

2. Best New Tank (2 yrs and under)
To be voted on by ETRC members only.

3. Best Mature Tank (2 years and older)
To be voted on by ETRC members only.

Best FTS PRIZE will be posted soon....(it will not disappoint)

Best New Tank and Best Mature Tank PRIZE will be a frag of the winners choice from the Club Library .

Photos must be taken after today's date and must include your R2R name in the picture.

Submissions need to be in by July 1st and polls will begin on the 2nd. Polls will close on the 12th and the winners can claim their prize at the July club meeting.

Please feel free to give tank details...gallons...lighting...filtration...You get the idea.

Now lets see those tanks ETRC!

They came in the mail today. I don't think they were intended to be given to just one person. I think adding them to the three prize categories would work and then give the 4th by random drawing at the July meeting.

Could do a Nano tank shot for.the 4th. Under 40 gallons?

If there's "room" for another category, it would be good to get one for big tanks. (or maybe next time) A FTS of a big tank just doesn't normally get much for detail, so it's hard to compete with something smaller.

Both good ideas for the future. As for now I think this is a good contest the way we have it setup. The big prize winner will be random draw, so to give everyone even newbies a fair shot. Also we have the new tank, and established tank sub contest, because A 5 year grown out SPS tank is sure to beat a brand new tank with frags only.
