I recently bought a 1400 from Alabama to Michigan. $300 included shipping so it shouldn't have been too much. It was pretty much assembled in a long box, packed terribly, but it made it without damage. We had it insured.

Also, I couldn't find the 1700. Is it an older model?

That is a nice looking skimmer. I noticed the repair at the base of the bioball towers. Is this a weld on repair or other type? Does it leak anywhere on the skimmer?
