I wondered if any on can advise why my Euphillia are dying off when the rest in my corals are really healthy.
My nitrates have been consistently low for ages never seemed to have a problem before I do target feed from time to time.

Ph 8.0
Nitrate 5.0
Kdh 8
Phosphate 0.25
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Calcium 420

But all my Euphillia coral both frog spawn and torch are dying off and losing their heads. Not sure what is going on tried water changes. I have had a spot of green hair algae which I'm dealing with. But can't work out why it is only effecting my Euphillia. Any ideas?

Sorry to hear of your losses. I had a single hammer (2heads) that wiped itself out in 72 hrs. Clean to the bone. No clue what happened their either. I'm sure someone can step in and offer some advice. Best wishes!

Welcome to R2R.

In the second image I see an anemone in close proximity to the coral, does it ever brush up against the Euphyllia.
What method are you using to measure alk? Have you checked your mag.

There is no chance you have metal in the tank right. Or a cracked heater or open wire? I had similar issues once and I believe it was a 3/4 inch screw that fell out of the stand into the sump. Stopped after I removed it and did a water change.

I would second the alk test. Your phosphate are more than likely higher than they are reading if you had no algae. The existing algae are consuming it. How are you trying to get rid of your algae? Euphyllia can be touchy about water conditions when new to your system.
