Hi Folks:
Question about Euphotica lights. I have a cube tank 30x30x25"deep.
My old lights crapped out so I decided to try LED's.
Bought 2 Euphotica programmable lights (23" version).
My hammer head and a plate coral have bleached out, think the plate is dead (both at bottom of tank).
Anyone running these, if so are you running custom settings?
Due to old light hanger these lights are 4" off of the top of the water.
I would like to duplicate their cloudy day settings but don't know the incremental stetting for this.
Cloudy day setting runs too long as tank sits right next to the bedroom.
I need the light to go down to only blues by 8pm and all off by 10pm.
Anyone know how to duplicate their cloudy day settings but modify them to my requirements?
Custom settings are easy enough to program but I need to know what their ratio is.
Worse case does anyone know how to contact "Hobbie Bug" directly?
Anyone have any input?
I really hope so.
Rick

These seem to be typical "black box" chineese lights. Likely you wont get ahold of anyone at this Hobbie Bug place. That being siad there are lots of people who run these "black box" lights that should be able to help.

Wrong
Friendly Canadian company

I’ve used the exact same model lights for the last three years I contacted hobbie bug via phone about a year ago when one of the screens blanked out but the lights were still running . But thankfully they were able to tell me I had just turned it off (didn’t know it was possible to do). They were very friendly and helpful as far as mimicking the setting for cloudy day just write down the settings for each hour or half hour and reprogram the custom setting to the same with the tweaking you want to do to it. Also when I ordered mine I had originally ordered the 16” models and by their own mistake they sent me the 24” models. When I had called in and we were talking they asked what lights I had. Biting my nails I went ahead and told them which ones they shipped and they just laughed because they were looking at my invoice and noticed they made the mistake. Asked me how my tank looked with the lighting and at the time they were on my 90 gal setup and they were and still are a great light. After my warranty expired I decided to take these lights apart and clean them out. Dust in fans must be in the case too. Cleaned them up easy to take apart and to reassemble. Now they are on my 220 which is 30” deep. Just got it up and running about 2 months ago so not a lot to show for it yet as $ is always tight. But here’s what my 90 looked like on its last days
