Are hammers aggressive to clams? Any advice?

I have hammers and a clam and have had both in different tanks in the past. I would not say hammers are uniquely aggressive to clams but hammers do sting and clams don't like to be stung so just make sure there is enough space between the two and you will be fine. Clams can close to protect them from stinging but if they are constantly irritated and closed then they likely won't last long.

My clam insists on moving his way back to my hammers and torches and yes, he has gotten stung. I had to do some rearranging to make sure he stays safe!
