Frogspawn I've had for almost a year, and the past couple days it looks like its over extending, or starting to bleach. But I can see the skeleton ridges through the top of the coral? Is this from too much light?

what is the temperature of the tank, and what levels are the alkalinity/calcium/magnesium at?

SG:1.026 temp: 81 alk: 8-9 cal:400 ma:1400 I had power compact lighting for the longest time, the frogspawn lost a lot of the green color when the bulbs began to die, and I upgraded to LEDs about 3 months ago. They got the green color back and a lit of my corals health improved in less than a day and continued with a growth spurt for over a month, then kinda slowed down a bit.

I do suspect too much light, i run blues a good 14 hours, and whites maybe 9 hours. And they're China box LEDs, so no dimming.

Warmer water temperatures can result in coral bleaching. When water is too warm, corals will expel the algae (zooxanthellae) living in their tissues causing the coral to turn completely white. Maybe try bring the temperature down to 77 or 76

I also have cheap bright china leds but i keep my tank around 76 degrees and i feed my frogspawn phytoplankton.

Speaking of controlling temp, its extremely hot most of the time, and thanks to all the coralline I can't see the temps on my heater, is there a good way to get the algaes off without taking the paint off

how much light does Frogspawn or the Euphyllia needs? A dual lamp t5 HO, 48 watts on regular size 29g be ok?

I have the power compacts on my biocube and my hammer and frogspawn are doing much better than under my radions

My frogspawn originally did great about 22" under some 65w 10k power compacts, but the bulbs went fast and the corals went with the bulbs
