euphyllia receding?peeling flesh?help

ok i have an octospawn 2 heads and i notice that the flesh by the stalk/skeleton is peeling off,,,i blew it off and the flesh came off like it got peeled its like a thick film,,,not brown and not slime...its thick,its like the skin got peeled...now the octospawn has only the base head that has flesh...the weird thing is,it still open up with no problem,thats why i never suspects any of this...i just notice the scab like skin that peeled off when it retracted and when i blew it off....
i went and checked my frogspawn colony and it is doing the same but very very very slowly receding cause i can see parts of the skeleton where it had flesh...

acans are fine,,,chalices are fine...all other corals are fine...its only the euphyllias that i am seeing that is doing it...i just notice this the other day....so i am sure my frogspawn colony has been slowly receding

i am starting to worry as i have a nice hammer and i dont want it to get affected and want to find a way to solve this..i also see a small part and showing signs....please help!:cry:
couple months ago i had an alk problem and some of my chalices starts receding and other lps but i got them all checked and got everything stabilize....so finding this new problem really worries me...what really puzzle me is that they are all opening with no problem...have great colors..theres no shrinking or anything.

alk 9-9.5
calcium 400-425
mag 1350-1400

temp 75-78...i know...i tried to make it 76-78...but weather is unpredictable and i have ac on...also have a chiller....so usually at night it get 75 the coldest at night and 78 during day when its hot...

any help advice is greatly appreciated...z and p's are fine...sps are fine...only ones i see that is having issues after i checked everything are the euphyllias...and these 2 heads of octospawn is the worst....

Bumber. When that happened to me it was a quick trip down hill for them. Soon they just dropped their heads right off and they would blow around on the sand looking still very colorful so as a noob I tried to gather them up thinking I could regrow them-no such luck. Also never got my finger on what the actual cause was but in the mix of everything someone had mention strontonium being low in my water. I wasn't dosing at the time and im guessing you do if you've gone as far as a chiller-and they say you should get enough from everything else we throw in our tanks. Hope ya figure it out-no one likes to see thier corals in despare. Has any flow changed up on them? They're very delicate at the head.

no i actually put them in an area where they are getting more flow..they were in a spot where theres low flow so im thinking they are not getting eough flow
today they are open up like no problem but when retracted u can see theres an issue:sad:

I've continually had this problem with my corals, as well as candy cane corals. They would all look great, just receded to the head and stay that way. Can't figure out what it is. I moved some poor looking candy canes to my dad's 30 gallon tank and they came back and look great. I also setup another tank just for LPS "less skimming, mH lights" Corals look great in there over my DT but still receding up the stalk. Parameters are perfect in my tank and temp only fluctuates 1 degree. I've heard having salinity low can cause it as well. my salinity is 1.025

If you think its flow they need a little, but not too much. They should sway in the current, but not like a tree in a hurricane.

I don't think flow is the particular issue with mine. I have a bunch in all different flow areas.

yes my candy cane was the one that started doing it...its not brown jelly...its like a white slime..its like its slowly eating the flesh and then if u blow it will come off and u can actually peel the flesh

ok i check my salinity and its 1.022...thanks for mentioning about salinity....my sps are fine though so i dont know if its salinity....i am gonna bump up my salinity
