Good afternoon! I have been getting back into the hobby slowly and methodically after a lengthy hiatus. Like many of you, I found that I had to toss most of my old gear. One item I have absolute faith in is my old ER CS 8-3 with dual pump inlets. I had run these with the famed (infamous) Sicce PSK-2500. Like most of these dinosaurs, they had the startup problem. I recently rebooted the old skimmer with the original pumps and quickly realized how much of a liability they are... then I caught a good electrical shock!

So.. on to the question. Should I be slapping a couple of Sicce 1000's on this thing or looking elsewhere? I know I can upgrade the entire skimmer, but I am happy to get things going with this unit - and the build quality is awesome. Any advice is welcome.

Regards,

Joe

The Sicce Syncra 600 is a closer match to your Sicce 2500 pump, but most people go with the 1000's, bigger is always better.
