Im stuck between buying a used Oceanic Tech tank vs a used Elos Tank.
The Oceanic tech is eurobraced vs the tech tank is rimless.
Anyone know the usual lifespan of a rimless tank? When can I expect for it to leak/fail on me?
How bout Eurobraced? Will they last longer?

I like the Euro bracing. No failure rate time frame. The glass is bonded.

the eurobrace blocks out a lot of light. I have the oceanic tech tank 90gallon and it gets annoying sometimes. I'd say go with elos even though I love my tech tank, it just blocks out too much light. Unless your going for a 120gallon tech tank, then its not as big a problem.

I have my hands in my tank daily and I noticed no more drip marks on the glass and I put rags, glue, cutters, aiptaisa x, plugs, containers on the brace all the time. euro seems safer especially since I have a shallow reef tank and i live in a earthquake zone

I went with euro brace because you can put a mesh top on it and keep wrasses. Rimless looks awesome but I wanted wrasses too badly.

rimless all the way. euro may be practical but rimless is ***** sweet looking and all the light goes in the tank. lastly, if you plan things out correctly like i did, you don't have ANY drips when workin the tank. all you have to do is have you return drilled 2 inches from the top and the water level is low enough where you wont have any drips and even when working with a magnet cleaner, you can go as fast as you want and still no drips or splashing over the rim ....rimless ftmfw.
