Just had to euthanize my 4 year old Maroon clown:angry-face:. My Miniatus Grouper and broomtail wrasse for some unknown reason decide to start hammering him today outta the blue. Watching with the wife it was getting beaten up and could tell it wasn't gonna stop. So I did it like in the past, netted him and slammed him into the ground, over in a second. With all the commotion my Japanese Dragon Eel started roaming, all the triggers just looked on, so I grabbed the tongs and fed him to the Eel. RIP little buddy. Survival of the fittest I guess. Heres a pic from a while back when things were normal.

Sorry for your loss; can’t be easy putting down a fish you’ve had for years.

I take it the maroon was beaten up to the point of no recovery?

Oh ya, started this morning came back from golfing and it kept escalating, 1st the Grouper, which got the big wrasse all hot and steamy, once he joined in he grabbed the clown by the head a few times and swam around with it. No way he could swallow it though. Meanwhile all my triggers and other fish just looked on. It sucked but it's over now.
