So I started my tank about 4 months ago and have had success with acans, euyphillias, zoanthids, shrooms, etc. But recently after my hammer started splitting it seemed sick. My frogspawn is opened fully and I was concerned. I started the tank with dry and live rock along with live sand and I also have a good sized refugium.
my parameters are
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 2
calcium 460
magnesium 1400
alk 9
everything has been stable. Please help.

What makes you think it "started splitting"? 'Splitting" Is a VERY slow process. How long has it looked like that? You still have a VERY new tank so things are still in motion.

When I bought it, it had 2 holes and I was told that its splitting. It was doing amazing and there was no swings at all.

Thats why I think. My other euyphillia are open but its just this one guy that is splitting, it does have 2 heads.

Its looked like that for about a week and a half and that's when it really was visble that it was splitting

I don't think the issues are remotely related to "splitting". Something else is going on. Since it is still on a frag plug you may consider popping off the plug and looking at the entire base. If you see any dots of sponges, usually but not always yellow or orange, it could be a coral boring sponge. These are bad and will kill a euphyllia.
