why the 45* elbos after the injector?

why the 45* elbos after the injector?

For two reasons, first the injector threads are 1 inch and the bulkhead in the skimmer box are 3/4". Reason two, the body of the injector is to close to the bubble tower for a 1" to 3/4" adaptor.
